About Us
Mark and Catherine Anderson own and operate Champoeg Farm est. 1856. You could say farming is in our blood since we both come from a long history of farmers. Mark’s family has been farming in the Champoeg area since 1856. Catherine grew up on a small berry farm like her mother before her. Mark received a marketing degree at OSU and worked in Portland for a few years afterwards. But the farm called us both home.
We believe that food should have integrity which begins with the people who grow it. We want to not only raise outstanding food,
we want to know the customers who will then purchase and enjoy it. Knowing our customers gives us a real sense of purpose because we see that the food we raise impacts their lives and improves our local food system at the same time.
Farming is a way of life for us. We thank our customers for helping to change the way the world sees food and for allowing us to make a living doing it.
